I seem to be calling my 2 U.S. Senators and 1 Member of the House of Representatives practically on a daily basis these days to urge them to vote one way or another to try to preserve, hopefully, our democracy and the rule of law.

I call so often, in fact, that I’m sure the staffer who might answer the call (many times I’ve had to leave a message) knows my voice even before I finish a sentence. When I get a person, I imagine the eye-roll at the other end when they hear my voice.

I know they’re all likely getting hundreds of calls daily and mine easily blends into the flow of them. And I also assume many, many people are calling regularly as well. There seems to be something every day to worry about.

That said, I’m grateful to the Congressional staff for taking all the calls and even more so to my elected Members of Congress who actually take my advice and vote as I suggest. Thank you!
