I’ve already voted. So it allows me to spend the day (and night) simply worrying about the results, instead of having to stand on long lines. I know the worry won’t accomplish anything but it’s hard to avoid. I also know that it may be days (weeks?) before final results are in for Pennsylvania and Arizona, given the need to count absentee ballots and the closeness forecast by the polls. So my worry meter will likely be dialed high for a while.
I wish I could meditate. I wish taking a walk in the park would be a sufficient distraction.
Good luck to any of us today, and in the immediate future, who try to think of things other than the outcome of the Election of 2024 and are worried. Here’s hoping (and praying) it’s a good outcome for the country and our worries were over nothing.
