The End of Summer

This Labor Day’s air was amazing!

Finally, I could open a window this morning and feel air–the temperature is in the low 70’s and there’s very low humidity. It is indescribably wonderful.

Living in New York City this summer has been challenging– with relentless humidity combining with high temperatures to make walking laborious, entering the subway a challenge or doing anything strenuous not too smart.

There’s something pretty magical when you feel the seasons change, and one of my favorite changes is summer into fall. I know it won’t stay like this. There will almost certainly be days when I’ll need the windows closed and the air conditioner on, but I’m living in the moment when New York City feels like San Francisco, and not like Houston.

It’s positively incredible.

Fall in the northeast is the best season!

I’m Amy

I live in Manhattan and get much of my exercise dodging vehicles and bicycles on the Upper West Side. That aside, I think New York City, with its incredible diversity of people and cultural offerings, is the best place on the planet to age happily.
