There’s a real problem drinking too much water in NYC.

How much is too much water? Harvard Health gives these recommendations: “How much water should you drink a day? Most people need about four to six cups of plain water each day.”

The problem with drinking this much water is finding a public bathroom if you are out-and-about. There really aren’t that many in NYC. Hotels are good. Restaurants are fine, but most require that you come in and order something. Museums also will require that you get an admission ticket. Most stores have bathrooms but, since the pandemic, most are only for employees. Drinking water is extremely important, and wonderful for our health, except if you need to find a bathroom.

Again, hydrator beware, and plan your day accordingly!
